Sister cities of Vénissieux

Vénissieux (Vènissiœx in the Lyonnais dialect of Arpitan language) is a commune in the Rhône department in eastern France. It is the second-largest suburb of the city of Lyon, and is adjacent to the southeast. The name Vénissieux derives from Latin Viniciacum, itself crafted upon a Roman villa landlord named Vinicius. Some monuments are really old, like "l'ecole du centre" or "l'école Pasteur". this two monuments were used by the nazi during the second world War. On the city-center, there is a museum of history were we can find all this informations. It takes place on the last city hall. On the picture, we see the museum at left, and the church, at right
