Tooele (/tuːˈɛlə/ too-EL-ə) is a city in Tooele County in the U.S. state of Utah. The population was 22,502 at the 2000 census, and 30,708 as of the 2009 estimates. It is the county seat of Tooele County. The city is well known for Tooele Army Depot, privately owned waste-disposal facilities west of Tooele Valley, and TOCDF, a government-owned chemical weapons incinerator south of Tooele Valley.
