Taldykorgan (Kazakh: Талдықорған / Taldıqorğan / تالدىقورعان), formerly known as Taldy-Kurgan (Russian: Талды-Курган, until 1993), is the administrative center of Almaty Province, Kazakhstan. Population: 123,038 (2009 Census results); 97,996 (1999 Census results). Most of the people are Kazakhs.
