Nazareth Illit (Hebrew: נָצְרַת עִלִּית) (Upper Nazareth) is a city in the Northern District of Israel. At the end of 2007 it had a population of 40,800. Nazareth Illit was founded in 1957. It was planned as a Jewish town overlooking the Arab city of Nazareth and the Jezreel Valley.
