Kirov (Russian: Киров, IPA: [ˈkʲirəf]), formerly known as Vyatka (Вя́тка) and Khlynov (Хлы́нов), is a city and the administrative center of Kirov Oblast, Russia, located on the Vyatka River. Population: 473,695 (2010 Census); 480,411 (2002 Census); 440,240 (1989 Census).
