Itō (伊東市 Itō-shi) is a city located on the eastern shore of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan.
As of June 2012, the city has an estimated population of 70,532 and a population density of 568 persons per km². The total area is 124.13 km². Much of the city is part of the Fuji-Hakone-Izu National Park.
