Embu, also Embu das Artes, is a Brazilian city in the State of São Paulo. It is a suburb of the capital. The population in 2006 was 245,855 inhabitants. Population density is 3,508.2 /km² and the area is 70 km².
Its history brought it an unexpected specialization as a city for artists. This has paid tourism dividends to the city.
